Mid-September

The days/weeks just seem to fly by. I can’t believe it’s already mid-September.  It’s also hard to believe that it’s been almost a year since my dad was first diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

august 29 pop pop

Poppop with the grandkids

It seems like a bad nightmare we all had to go through. There were a lot of ER visits, hospital visits, etc.  He had his stem cell transplant that March and stayed in the hospital longer than expected because there were complications.  Finally he was home in April and gaining back strength (and his hair was growing back in as seen above).  The last four months he had follow-up visits and blood works.

Unfortunately, things aren’t heading in the direction we had hoped for.  After monitoring his blood works from the last few months, we learned that it looks like he will need yet another transplant.  This transplant will give him a year and half life span; maybe more. So we seem to be back at square one.

Next week, he will have a PICC line placed followed by a strong dose of chemo and then the transplant phase will begin.

We are all keeping positive thoughts.

On another note, the kids have started school.

first-day-of-school

09-08-2016

I can’t believe we have a Kindergarten gal and a Pre-K 3 boy.  Time is zipping on by.

My in-laws (a/k/a the biggest support with the kids these days) left for Spain, so as you can imagine, I have so much on my plate between working F/T, dropping/picking kids up to/from school, getting dinner together, etc.

Unfortunately, with everything going on, I will have defer MCM this November.  My training has been inconsistent (sorry Chelsea… I thought this was the year we’d meet in person). I do have a half marathon next month and even though my training has been sub-par, I intend to run this race.  I would also love to get some shorter races in to get my speed back on the grid. Lots of speed training/tempo runs, etc.  I am getting a lot of strength training in.

So much more to update on (how kids did in school, some DIY projects I completed, etc.) but too much to put into one post. Just one more thing to add onto here.

Last Sunday, 9/11/16, was Sebastian’s 3rd Birthday.  I cherish that day 3 years ago.

sept-11-2013

Sometimes I wish I could go back to that day.  They’re so precious. And now, they’re so big.

Raise your hand if you’re THREE!

3-years later…

I think this is all I could handle for today.

What do you think I should do for MCM? Defer or just reapply for lottery in 2017?  My issue is I have a good chance of getting into NYCM so do I run back-to-back marathons in 2017? HA.

Summer Fun (and Hot Runs)…

I feel like I’m in my senior year of high school and have been absent for 3-weeks because I had the chicken pox (yes, it’s true, I was 17 years old when I got the chicken pox!).  I haven’t posted in a few weeks. Juggling the kids, work, marathon training and life has been quite the struggle, but I am getting through it.

Quick update (is it ever really quick?).  Kids started summer camp 3-weeks ago.  The first few days were okay, and then there were tears others, but now, they’re pros.

One of the days I picked the kids up, the teacher told me Sebastian had a (girl)friend that follows him and sits next to him at lunch. They supposedly feed each other lunch.

girlfriend at camp

Favorite part of the day is when I pick them up. But overall, they’re having a blast.

Their last week is next week but I am thinking of doing one more week after and then they’ll have two weeks before school starts (and for me to get Sebastian fully potty trained. We’re working on it!).

scientist day

We have spent some time with family when we can.  P’s nephew came to my office two Fridays ago and then he slept over.

jules

We had dinner with my in-laws and then Jules, Lili and I hit up our favorite cafe, Van Goh’s Ear.

van goh

Then Sundays we go to mass.

church

We made it to the movies in the park again.  This time we watched Hotel Transylvania 2. Next week is the last movie in the park, Inside Out. I’m looking forward to that one.

And last Friday after work, I picked up my niece from her summer camp so that the kids had some time to play.

When I’m not able to make it outdoors for a run, I turn to my trusty tread.

And I just started binge watching Pretty Little Liars (and I’m obsessed.  Almost on season 4 so still so much to catch up on!).

We tried out a new hole in the wall Mexican place, Freppe’s.

And we loved it!!!!!!

Last weekend it RAINED and RAINED… so we made sure to do some indoors arts/crafts projects.

We read for the millionth time, Where the Wild Things Are and then made monsters and boats.  Then we did a paint night.

It was fun.

We try to get to the pool when we can.

And on Tuesday we went to National Night Out in town.

Sebastian was STAR-STRUCK when he saw Spiderman.

And when Spiderman gave him a high-5, well, that just made his day.

AND Pedro’s birthday gift to me…

bday gifts

New shoes, fuel, compression socks, etc…. I’m in heaven. (and yes, my birthday was nearly two months ago… I just used his certificate yesterday!).

Do you watch PLL? What’s your favorite TV show(s)? I have a few. Breaking Bad, Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Empire (which I still need to catch up on).

Plans for the weekend? I have a long run and nothing else on schedule really. I like those kinds of weekends…

June Festivities: I’m Late…July: Training Has Begun

(Mon): 4-Mile Run (Tues.): 6.2-Mile Hill Run (Wed.): Weight Training

MCM training has officially started and I am reminded why fall marathons aren’t my fave… running in the heat sucks.

summer running

Which is why some runs are done on the treadmill. (Well really some runs are done on the treadmill because I have two small kids that are very demanding of my time.  I don’t mind though.  I love those babies.

I love my treadmill.  In any event, training is off to a great start.  (Picture with kids above is taken on Father’s Day 06.19.16).

AND… we celebrated Liliana’s 5th Birthday. Can you believe it? Remember when she was just born? And then we celebrated her 1st Birthday.  You can read that here and here.

She woke up on her birthday (06/22/16) with the house decorated and birthday gifts.

lili birthday 3

She had to go to school that day.  In fact, it was her last day.

lili birthday 4

Then we had some family come over to help celebrate FIVE.

She had a blast.  The next day we celebrated with more family at the movies.  We watched Finding Dory.

It was great to spend time with all her cousins.

On Saturday she had birthday party #3 with her friends.

june 25 princess

She had too much fun.

All the kids seemed to have a wonderful time. AND then her birthday was over, mainly because it was time to celebrate Pedro’s 40th Birthday!!!

pedro's 40th birthday

He loved the cake I got him (you have to be a Simpsons fan to understand this inside joke).

pedro's 40th

We were celebrating his big day on Saturday July 1st since his birthday was on a Monday at his favorite restaurant, Casa Vasca.

We had a great time and P was happy with the food. The next day we hung out with my SIL at her house. She just got her pool fixed.

pool

It was nice out and we had a great time.  We headed home by 8 PM.  We were happy we had the day off for Fourth of July. Fourth of July is our holiday together; just P and the kids.

4th of july

Kids played in the yard and we grilled food.

It was a nice short week the following week. The last couple of weeks were a whirlwind of fun events.  The kids actually missed the library so we made a stop to pick up some books and hang out.

library computer

happy

Lili recently learned how to use the mouse and is doing lots of school activities on the computer. Crazy how when I was growing up, we learned to type on typewriters and computers were a luxury.  Anyway, kids picked out some books and then we scheduled Lili to read to the dog this past Tuesday.

Monday night I met up with my best friends at Van Goh’s Ear.  Best coffee spot in my area.

van goh

And yesterday my MIL took Lili to the library to read to the dog.  Unfortunately, the dog called in sick so the cat filled in.

She read one book, “Sleepy Puppy” (we thought she was reading to the dog, but fortunately, the puppy in this story had a cat as a pet… HA!).

I picked up the kids from my in-laws and headed home to feed them dinner, prep P’s lunch for the next day, give baths and get our picnic bag ready. We were off to watch a movie at the park.

movie in park

We arrived at least 2 hours early but we got great seats.  I picked up sandwiches for the gang at this amazing deli.  My brother and his fiance showed up half hour later.

It was SO MUCH FUN!!! If you’ve never watched a movie in the park, you should put it on your bucket list.

My brother is into that Pokemon Go app.

Cracks me UP!!!!

Sorry this was all over the place. It’s been a long month.

Have you ever gone to the movies at the park?

Celebrations and Mid-Week Recap

6:15 AM: Strength/Core Circuit – COMPLETED

11:00 AM: Hill Repeats – 1-mi WU; 3 x 1:00 min hill; 3 x 1:30 min hill; 1 x 1:00 min hill; 1-mil CD

Every single morning I start writing an entry and then something comes up.  By the time I know it, it’s Wednesday (or even Thursday).  So here’s my regular weekend/mid-week review.

On Friday, I finally got my speed workout in.  1-mile WU; 6x400s @ 6:23 min/mi; 1.5-mile CD.

5mile speed

B was happy that I was done.  I caught up with Grey’s Anatomy and then it was a quick shower and out the door.  B had a dental appointment followed by a haircut.

new cut

I don’t know why I would schedule a dental appointment + a haircut right after each other, BUT we made it work.  Then it was home to eat a quick lunch and pick up Lili from school.  I stopped at my parents’ house to put B down for a nap so I could take Lili to dance alone. It worked out well. After dance we headed back to my mom’s to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday.

happy birthday dad

Dad was tired because he had dialysis earlier that day, but he put on a smile and tried his best to have a good time. There were lots of yummy foods including these empanadas that look like their on steroids.

empanada

Of course I couldn’t have with NO meat on Fridays.  I ended up with shrimp and salmon and was completely satisfied.

familia

I helped my mom clean up and then the kids and I headed home by 9:15.  We had a busy morning the next day.

Saturday I got up semi-early and started preparing everything for Sabrina’s confirmation.  I even gave the kids a bath since they didn’t have one the night before.

Congratulations, Sabrina. It was a great time.

We got home after 3 and I actually brought work home.  I worked for at least 4 hours that night and then 5 the next day.  Sunday, we had to help my mom pick up furniture.  Their new couches are looking nice.

Monday was Cici’s birthday!!!!!

cici and me

Love this girl.  We have our long run this weekend and I am so looking forward to seeing her!!!

My dad was admitted on Monday and had dialysis and chemo.  We’re moving onto the final phase.  He started the stem cell transplant at 4pm.

transplant day 1

I just got the update that he’s not feeling too well. I am sure this is all normal and he’s weak.  We expect his WBC to drop. Then we slowly wait for it to rise… More updates soon.

I did my strength workout this morning with B.

And I did a hill workout at 11 AM today.

Strength + Core: COMPLETED (Marathon Training Week #2)

Lili has been attached to me like you wouldn’t believe. She has given me a tough time everyday leading up to my Monday. Last week, because of her crazy doctor’s appointments, she came to work with me twice. She’s an absolute joy to have here at the office but I know her grandparents want to spend some time with her also. She basically cried herself to sleep last night and woke up crying some more.

Liliana: But mommy. I don’t want to go to Pop-pop, Mamala’s, Abo’s or Abi’s. I just wanna stay with you.

Me: I know. I’ll be busy today at work. Aunt Donna won’t be in and Aunt Pam (she calls my colleagues “aunt”) is just coming back from vacation so mommy will be very busy”.

Liliana: I promise I won’t bother you. I promise I won’t make you more busy. I won’t make any drawings for Aunt Pam or Aunt Donna. I will stay very quiet.

Breaks.My.Heart! It’s not only when it’s time to drop her off, but it has happened when she found out I had to a long run this weekend. Her response was, “But, I wanna come running…I’ll miss you!”.

Monday Blues

Monday Blues

I cried myself to work this morning. I know she’s fine and having fun but she really doesn’t make it easy for me. [P.S. yes, she’s wearing the same top from Thursday as I did all the laundry, LOL].

BUT, moving onto happier moments, like our weekend. We did have a great weekend. Of course it started with being stuck in traffic on Thursday afternoon. I ended up leaving early to take Lili to her allergist appointment.

Another Appointment?!?

Another Appointment?!?

Between giving blood on Monday, annual shots on Wednesday and allergist on Thursday, this girl has had enough with doctors. :-p She seems all healthy and ready to enjoy the summer.

We didn’t do much more on Thursday evening since we got home on the later side. We ate dinner, gave baths and put the kids down. On Friday morning, my sister canceled our long run to go to the beach. I can’t really blame her. It was a beautiful day. So the kids and I got ourselves together and headed over to the park for a run. And BTW, when she found out my long run was canceled, she was ECSTATIC. “YESSSS. I can come running with you now. Let’s go!”

Double Time

Double Time

Unfortunately, her idea of going running together is ME pushing her and her brother. Works out though. I get to spend time with my munchkins. No complaints here, except, it will definitely be difficult when it’s time to go for my LRs without her.

After we ran in the park a few times, (I did a 50-minute run: no watch/no music — just the kids and me), we stopped at the park.

Post-RUN-Fun

Post-RUN-Fun

The kids had fun but the spray-playground didn’t open yet so they played on the regular playground for almost an hour before I ran back to the car and then home. We got home and Lili did some school work, followed by lunch and a nap. When the kids woke up, we went food shopping and then the kids and I went back to the park. P was still finishing up the yard work and I didn’t want Lili out there with her allergies.

Back at the Park

Back at the Park

After, we did more walking and then headed home so I could start dinner. After dinner, we just hung around and watched TV.

Fourth of July was nice. We stayed in — our FAMILY TRADITION is relaxing (because every single weekend since MAY we have had something to do, we try to enjoy the month of July to ourselves and that starts with the FOURTH of JULY and our Twilight Zone Marathon, etc.). I was exhausted from the night before. I did do some baking in the AM. Lili helped bake a cake and I baked brownies.

I missed my morning run because P overslept. Oh well. He did make up for it though and later on he pushed me to go outside and run. Thank heavens. He really does love me. I was being a total tool (a/k/a a stink) and he turned my entire attitude around.

Heading out!!!!

Okay,I’m totally NOT a later afternoon/evening runner — so I stayed on the track. Lili did 1/4 mile warm-up with me. She’s the best.

Sebastian was being a handful so I told P that I was going to finish my 4-miles on the track and that he should just go walk with the kids in the jogger. He did just that and walked a few times around the outside of the track just watching me. After, Sebastian did a quick cool-down with me before we went for another walk.

We all went for a longer walk after and enjoyed the gorgeous weather.

Post-Run/Park walk, we picked up food and ate at home. We watched fireworks through our window but the kids were already asleep. They can’t stay up late enough to watch the fireworks.

The next morning, I ran my 8-miles on the tread. I showered, got the kids dressed and then headed over to the Christmas Tree Shop. When we got home, we ate lunch, kids napped and then P’s friend Pete came by. We were having a BBQ. My girlfriend, Rachel, stopped over also.

Aunt Rach & Kids

We all had a great time. Rachel stayed long enough to give the kids a bath, do a load of laundry and clean up. The kids went to bed and the boys watched the World Cup Finals. Go USA. 🙂

Our 4th was well spent and somewhat relaxing.

No Firecracker races for me. Mayhaps next year.

Who else does BBQs all summer long? I feel like it’s so much easier and who doesn’t like grilling???

Anybody else running NYC this year?

I had a running date today with my SOLEMATE that I love, love, love! It wasn’t planned but I actually matched.

It was great sharing some miles with Cici. I missed her so much. We will be doing lots of running together since we will be training for NYC marathon together. We will be RUNNING NYC for ROSA.

Please keep my soley in your thoughts. I’ve been dedicating a mile for Rosa in each run that I do just for her.

Happy Friday for some of you folks. I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

Thirty-Five

I’ve been M.I.A.A. (Last A for Again!). Busy at work + Stomach Virus + Busy at Work = No Time to Update… I turned 35 last Saturday (no midlife crisis…yet) so here are 35 little updates just for you from the last two weeks. Brace yourselves…. It might be a bit of picture overload over here.

1. Thursdays are my favorite days. Mainly because it’s my FRIDAY! My routine includes picking up Lili from school, finishing up my work and then scooping up the little guy. Sometimes if my brother and his girlfriend don’t go to the gym, we get to hang out with them for a bit — and the kids love it.

2. Fridays are for errands. I schedule doctors appointments, go food shopping, etc. I had an eye exam. After my exam, the little guy and I took a stroll in town.

05.29.15

I stopped at my mom and dad’s to go with my mom to Costco. I was going to stay for dinner but then my head was pounding (probably from contacts) and then my stomach was off. So I headed home.

3. And Saturday mornings are for the kids doctor’s appointment. Lili had her first dentist appointment.

9. Sunday (5/31/15) was National Stroller Day. I made sure the night before that our Bob Jogger was ready to go. But first, we went to the track. I was pretty excited because woke up early and wanted to come with us.

14. And then it happened. I got so sick at 2pm. I was vomiting like crazy. And then it hit the kids… Needless to say, we caught the stomach bug and it was not pretty.

15. I had to call out of work the next day. I must have done about 10 loads of laundry. It was awful. The next morning, we made some vegetable soup.

But unfortunately a wave hit and S vomited three times. I made an appointment and then when we get to the parking lot, Lili vomits all over the parking lot. WHAT.A.DISASTER!!!!

17. Dr. can’t give anything but says it will pass and to keep giving fluids. Fun fact, S won’t drink pedialyte unless it’s in a syringe. So we’ll take that…

18. We all took another day off because everyone was still pretty sick. And yeah, just because we’re off doesn’t mean we don’t read books and do school work. Lili continued practicing her letters, read a book together and drew her picture of what the book was about.

20. National Running Day arrived…I hadn't run since Sunday (right before I got ill) and hadn't had a real meal in the last 5 days, but I didn't miss out on running. I felt okay and took it nice and slow.

21. Lili was scheduled to go back to school the next day, and S had another appointment. So after he was cleared, I headed back to work and yes… I was slammed.

22. Thursday came (my favorite day) and I took some work home (but didn’t actually work on it till late Sunday evening). I was still exhausted and the office didn’t really expect me the rest of the week but I felt okay. I was starting my birthday weekend with a date.

23. Liliana’s teacher gave her a great report. She said that she was more advanced than some of the Pre-K kids going into Kindergarten and to continue doing what we’re doing at home. That made me happy! 🙂 So we went out for ice-cream.

Themed parties? Do you like them?

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Making it Work

I only had time for a 3-mile run this morning but I’ll take it. These days I can’t complain with whatever workout I get in. With an almost 20 month old toddler that is still nursing through the night (yes, he is not showing ANY SIGNS OF WEANING!), my sleep schedule is unpredictable. Anyhow, after my run both kids jumped on the treadmill with their reading materials.

happy Kids

happy Kids

Of course after, Lili turns to me and says, “Mom, you need a shower!” Yes, yes. I do. It’s crazy how much she’s grown and how conversations with her are on such an older level these days.

Tippy-Toes

Tippy-Toes

Getting back to ‘Making it Work’ — I wish I could say I have it altogether. I don’t though. Not even close. But here’s what I have:

1. AN AMAZING SUPPORT SYSTEM: My husband, even if he sleeps in on the weekends, is supportive of my running and will try to make things work for me when I’m feeling down about not being able to run or workout. Our parents, who babysit the kids during the week while we both work. It saves us so much money in daycare and the kids get to spend time with their grandparents.

2. MY JOB. There are times when I’m not sure if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, BUT right now it’s the perfect place for me. While both of my kids are so young, the flexibility is amazing. I can schedule my lunches to pick up Lili from school and bring her back for the last two hours; I can run errands when I don’t have to pick her up and/or run. The only one downfall is that there are only two of us here and so we need to coordinate our days off — but that’s not really a huge problem.

3. MY SANITY (LEARNING TO ADJUST AND ACCEPT). This is really key and all that really matters. The chores can wait — well, unless if you’re down to your last pair of panties. Then it’s either make a stop at Target or do the laundry. Do I hate leaving dishes in the sink overnight? YES. It’s peeves me out, but that’s okay. I can do it later. What will make me happier? A workout or washing the dishes before work? P.S. THE WORKOUT ALWAYS WINS! I’ve learn to not leave laundry too long and try to at least get it done one extra day a week so I’m not overwhelmed on the weekend. Don’t lose sleep over missing a workout. It used to make me feel awful (and sometimes it still does) but you know what, my kids won’t be kids for too long. Soon enough they won’t even want me hanging out with them. So I will skip a workout to sit on the floor with them and play.

4. MY FRIENDS: I have a handful of close friends and that’s all I need. While we don’t get to see each other often, we keep in touch daily. Through the years, I’ve weeded out people and vice versa and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. People grow apart all the time. I think by this point in my life I know who my friends are and will be for the rest of my life. Just keep the negative ones away.

And there you have it. Sometimes you have to look at the glass as half full rather than half empty. I may not have it altogether, but I have all the important things in life that I need.

Now if I could get a RACE in this year… Babysteps.

Thirsty Tuesday?

But there’s no liquor in the house… Oh well.

Did my morning run on the tread, again. I have to scoop up Lili at school today (I don’t normally do pick-up on Tuesday). Today’s view on the good old ‘mill.

I woke up Lili after my run and she ate breakfast, then I got kids ready and showered. I’m wearing a green dress that my sister gave me a few weeks ago.

Last night was good. We got home and I made some chili for dinner. P ate it with rice and I ate it like it was Cinco de Mayo. Tostitos and sour cream. Then I made everyone (except myself) ice-cream in cones. It was B’s first time.

I wish I took an “after” pic. His face was COVERED IN ICE-CREAM. It was okay though. Bath time is after dinner. 🙂

Lili gets to come to work with me again and she LOVES it.

Who’s celebrating Cinco de Mayo? I do love me some Mexican food.

Favorite alcoholic beverage? I love beer, wine and my MIL’s Sangria. The best ever.

Summer Weather

It is BEAUTIFUL out today. Unfortunately, I had to settle for the good old ‘mill for my morning run. P will be cleaning off the jogger tonight and I can finally take the kiddos out for a run. It would really be B’s first time experiencing runs in the jogger. I mean, he was SO little when I would take him. Most of the time, he’d fall asleep. So I’m very, VERY interested to see how he will be throughout a run (short or long). I remember Lili used to be able to sit in the jogger for at least 2+ hours. The longest run she was in the jogger was over 10 miles. Granted, she was 2 years old. She was still a trooper.

We had a lovely weekend and Lili is pretty much all better (aside from allergies and a mild cough). On Friday morning, I woke up with the kids on the later side and we started our day. I was happy to have Lili home for the day. I put some learning music on and the kids helped me bake a banana bread. Then I made a three egg with cheese omelette (kids ate most of it and only left me with two bites). After the banana bread was done, I put a load of laundry in and baked cookies. When the cookies were done, I was ready to RUN.

I caught up with most of Grey’s Anatomy on my run (it was a 2-hour episode, but really 85 minutes on ABC.COM, so I still had about 25 minutes left). I’m just not feeling it after they killed of McDreamy. I’m still mourning. At least I’m over the denial. The kids were thrilled that I was done with my run.

After my run, I put another load in the wash and the one in the dryer, took a quick shower and then started Lili on some school work. I emailed her teacher to ask her what she missed last week and she missed the letter Z, the number 13, more on symmetry, estimation and the new thing they’re learning is about volume. So many things.

We worked for about an hour and then I put the kids down to nap. By 2pm, I had to wake them up, get them dressed and we had to pick up some papers at my in-laws that they needed notarized. I then headed over to pick up my niece from school and my sis left the house key.

When we got to my sister’s, I let the dog out, made sure Scarlett washed her hands, put her lunch bag away and she practiced the piano.

After, they had a quick snack and played. My sister did not get home for another two hours so I prepared their dinner and when my sis got there, we all ate. She let Georgie back in and initially B was scared. After 15 minutes, he was HAPPY and they were best buds.

The cousins had so much fun and I left with another bag of clothes from my sister.

We were home by 8:30 and P was sad the Nets lost. I gave Lili a quick bath and into bed they went. Exhausted.

Saturday morning I woke up and made breakfast. Then I ran 3 miles and showered. I did another load of laundry, put the kids down to nap and then P went to run errands. When he got home, I fed the kids lunch and then we went outside to play. P was mowing the lawn and cutting the hedges.

It was beautiful. We got lucky with great summer-like weather. BUT, the pollen was crazy high. After an hour or so, Lili complained that her nose was runny and her eyes were watery and wanted to stay inside now. I started dinner and folded the laundry. Kids ate and then I gave them a bath.

P and I decided last minute to order the fight. What a waste… but I guess we would have been more mad if we missed something big. HA! It started so late though — Almost midnight on the east coast. So yeah, you know I did not sleep until 1AM.

I took off from working out yesterday and fed kids and myself breakfast before Sunday mass. Don’t even ask how we got there. Mass starts at 10:30 and I didn’t get into the shower until 10. Then P said he wanted to come so jumped out of bed and into the shower by 10:10. We were about 5 minutes late but it worked out perfect and both kids did great.

When we got home, I put B down for a nap, came out and fed Lili lunch and then we got ready for her classmate’s 4th birthday party. It started at 2pm and she was so exited. Unfortunately, not many of her classmates came. Out of 17 kids, only 3 of them from school were there.

Anderson is the little boy all the way to the right. Too cute.

Lili and I did the food shopping after the party and then came home. Thank goodness we had leftovers.

My weekend in a nutshell. I know, that’s pretty darn long. HA!

Did anybody else order the fight? I was putting the kids down when I heard P playing a video game. Don’t think for a minute I walked into his room and scolded him — I told him I didn’t care if it was commentary, biographies on the boxers, or the opening act boxers, but he better be watching WHATEVER is on because it’s costing us $100.

Who were you rooting for? Of course I was #teampacquiao.

Anybody else watching the playoffs?

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
