I absolutely love, love, love short workweeks. In fact, I was given the option to take off of work today. The big attorney told me that if I had finished everything I did not have to come in. While I wanted to take him up on that offer, I told him I did not mind coming in the morning. He was happy and said “great! we shouldn’t be here past 12 anyway.” The attorneys I work for are amazing and understanding and I don’t want to take advantage of them — so I’ll come in a half-day and when I do need a day off or to leave early, then they will let me. They almost always do as long as there’s someone here (and even if there isn’t, they figure things out!). And because I want to go running after work, I dressed the part.
Of course snow is coming down — more of a wet snow. It will make a messy commute. It didn’t stop me from stopping at Dunkin’ for some peppermint mocha coffee and a sandwich. Oh, and I picked up a cronut.
The individually box their cronuts.
I might not get to pick up my race packet tonight if the weather is this bad. We’re supposed to get 4-6 inches and I know everyone will be traveling for the holidays — it might not be worth it. P isn’t feeling too hot either so I might have to leave a little bit earlier now in the AM to get to the race. I haven’t decided if I want to take Lili with me. She’s feeling better and wants to come. I guess I’ll see how it goes. Here’s a “WBW” for when I ran this race 4-days post marathon.
Love this girl!!! She said something funny yesterday. Obviously she’s into Frozen and always wants to be Queen Elsa. I tease her and said, “But you’re name is Liliana. You should be “Princess Ana” since you’re LiliANA!” It burns her up. So now she officially changed her name to LiliElsa. HAHA
Good luck to all that are running Turkey Trots or long runs (that’s for you Chelsea).
What are you THANKFUL for? I am thankful for my amazing family, wonderful and awesome friends, a roof over our heads, FOOD, and the list goes on and on.
Happy Thanksgiving Eve.
