Twenty Fourteen

9:00 AM: Yoga – COMPLETED

11:30 AM: 5-Miles – COMPLETED

Happy New Year, dear friends. The holidays have come and gone in a blink of an eye. Normally, I am excited and thrilled about the holidays, especially because Lili has a better understanding now.  But this year, the closer the holidays came, the more real it became that I will soon be returning to work. Yes, this is my last week off until I drop off my sweet babies to their grandparents’ house.  I’m glad they will spend time with them, but if I had the choice of being a stay-at-home-mommy, I wouldn’t think twice on it.

Anyhow, I’ll post a more lengthy entry on the holidays. I’ll be sitting in front of a computer which is way easier for me to type rather than on this iPad.

I was thrilled to be able to work out today. I did some yoga with Lili this morning followed by a run with Tamar. I’m so happy I was able to see her.

New Year Run

New Year Run

I miss all of my running friends. I was reading past posts and it made me miss the old me. The passionate runner that I once was, but I know that I’m just adjusting still. I’m still very passionate about running, and I know that once I return to work I will be on a better schedule. I would like to still try to workout before work, but I’m glad that I will be able to run and spin at lunch.

I don’t think I mentioned this, but when I visited with my job at the end of October, I spoke with my big boss and told him I didn’t think I would be able to work Fridays. He told me no big deal and that we are hardly there Fridays anyway. I am thrilled with this because now I could spend 3-day weekends with the kids. Honestly, I think this is the only thing that isn’t making me cry. Every time I start to think it’s almost time to go back to work, I remind myself the following:

1. Fridays OFF;
2. Free lunches;
3. Workouts at lunch;
4. Movies during pumping time;
5. Free wifi to FaceTime the babies whenever I want.

It’s not so bad, is it?

Well 2013 is over and I can’t complain with how it turned out.

2013 Review

2013 Review

It started on the 1st when I had a PR on my 5k and won 3rd in my age group. I trained for my third marathon is 10-months and ran it 12-weeks pregnant. I continued to run with friends and race with friends logging 743 pregnant miles. I celebrated my third year of marital bliss. We celebrated Lili’s 2nd birthday and watched her grow from baby to toddler. She’s amazing and smart and we love her so much. I had an amazing delivery on 9/11, our healthy baby boy, Sebastian. I was able to take almost 4-months off and spend time with the babies. We are blessed with loving and supportive family and friends. Here’s to hoping 2014 will be just as amazing.

Happy New Year, friends.
